Hama Health Directorate re-activates the Surgical Units … Learn about their importance
Hama Health Directorate reopened three forward surgical units in Hama northern countryside and Idlib southern countryside with the aim of providing surgical and ambulatory services to the patients and the injured.
Hama Health Directorate seeks to provide secondary health care services, general surgical services and, first aid services after targeting most hospitals in the region during the recent military campaign launched by the Regime.
“The work and the location of the surgical units have been moved from Hama northern countryside to the southern countryside of Idleb because they were targeted by the Regime’s forces and their allies. They continue to provide ambulance services to the civilians in the region which is under indiscriminate bombing by the Regime’s forces and its allies,” said Dr. Mohammed Hendawi, Secondary and Tertiary Health Care Director.
Dr. Mohammed added: “In the next few days, we seek to complete the opening of the remaining surgical units of 5 surgical units to be close to the sites of bombardment and targeting civilians, thereby saving the lives of civilians in the area in case they were bombed. Medical service in the region is almost non-existent after targeting health facilities, medical staff, and ambulance crews during the military campaign. “
Hama Health Directorate in cooperation with Idlib Health Directorate began a plan to reactivate the health centers and hospitals in the locations of the displaced people from the areas of Hama countryside and Idlib southern countryside in order to fill the health gaps and continue the provision of health services to all civilians.
