On Sunday and Monday 10 -11 / 03 /2019, a training course is held at Hama Health Directorate in cooperation with MIDMAR Foundation to develop the capacity of health workers to deal with cases of Leishmaniasis. The course targets the staff of health centers and mobile clinics of Hama Health Directorate.The course is presented by Dr. Wasel Al-Jerk.
The World Health Organization (WHO) training program activities come in partnership with MIDMAR, the Syrian Health Directorates HDs, and MENTOR Organization under the title:
( Leishmaniasis Case Management )
This program benefits 456 doctors and nurses working in 228 health facilities in the Syrian North (Aleppo – Idlib – Hama – Afrin – Aazaz – Al-Bab – Jarables)
The training is part of developing the capacity of health workers to deal with cases visceral leishmaniasis in terms of prevention, diagnosis, and effective treatment. These trainings are provided by WHO-accredited trainers who have received TOT in this program.
